The agreement that governs your use of Snestico: what the service includes, creating and securing your account, acceptable conduct, and who owns the content you post.

It also covers payments, suspension and termination, disclaimers and limits of liability, and how disputes are resolved through arbitration.

These terms govern your use of Snestico's platform and services. Please read them carefully as they contain important information about your rights and obligations.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Snestico, Inc. By creating an account, accessing our platform, or using any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.

These terms apply to all users of the service, including registered users, property seekers, roommate seekers, marketplace participants, and community members.

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification.

What the Snestico Service Includes

Snestico is an AI-powered housing marketplace platform that connects students, professionals, and property seekers through intelligent technology and community-driven experiences.

Core Services

1. Property Discovery

• AI-powered property search with natural language processing
• Smart recommendations based on preferences
• Property data from ATTOM and trusted real estate sources
• Neighborhood insights and market analysis

2. Roommate Matching

• Compatibility scoring across up to 24 lifestyle categories
• Lifestyle and preference matching
• Verified profiles and identity verification
• Secure messaging and communication

3. Community Marketplace

• Buy and sell items within your community
• Category-based browsing and search
• In-app messaging with sellers (Snestico doesn't process marketplace payments)
• Seller ratings and reviews

4. Social Features

• Community posts and discussions
• Local events and RSVP management
• Interest-based groups
• Real-time messaging and notifications

5. Optional Paid Extras (one-time, never renewed; see Payments):

• Move Pass: more home-hunting agents, hourly checks and instant alerts for 30 days
• Verified badge and trust indicators
• Pro for landlords and owners: the AI assistant and featured placement for extra listings

Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our service at any time with or without notice.

User Accounts and Registration

Account Requirements

To use our services, you must register for an account. By creating an account, you agree to:

1. Eligibility

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Maintain one account (duplicate accounts prohibited)

2. Account Information

• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Verify your email address and phone number
• Complete identity verification when required

3. Account Security

• You are responsible for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Use strong, unique passwords
• Enable two-factor authentication when available

4. Account Restrictions

We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate accounts at our discretion.

5. Authentication

We use Clerk authentication services for secure account management.

User Conduct and Responsibilities

You agree to use our service responsibly, ethically, and in accordance with these terms and all applicable laws.

1. Fraudulent Behavior

• Provide false, misleading, or inaccurate information
• Impersonate another person, entity, or organization
• Create fake accounts or profiles
• Engage in identity theft or fraud

2. Abusive Conduct

3. Illegal Activities

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Violate any local, state, federal, or international law

4. Platform Abuse

• Attempt to circumvent security measures
• Use automated tools or bots without permission
• Scrape or extract data without authorization

5. Content Violations

• Post spam or unsolicited communications
• Share inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
• Violate intellectual property rights

Consequences

Violation of these rules may result in warning, content removal, account suspension, termination of service, legal action, and liability for damages caused.

Content and Intellectual Property

User-Generated Content

Your Content Ownership

• You retain all ownership rights to content you post
• You are solely responsible for your content
• You must have rights to all content you upload

License Grant to Us

By posting content, you grant Snestico a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, display, and distribute your content as necessary to operate our service.

Our Intellectual Property

All Snestico content, features, and functionality are owned by Snestico, Inc. and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Protected Elements

• AI algorithms and matching technology
• Software code and architecture
• Snestico logo, branding, and trademarks

Prohibited Content

You may not post content that contains false information, infringes IP rights, includes personal information without consent, is inappropriate or offensive, violates laws, or promotes illegal activities.

Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review, monitor, and moderate all content, remove content that violates our policies, and take action without prior notice.

Copyright Complaints (DMCA)

We respond to notices of copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). Send notices to our designated agent: Copyright Agent, Snestico, Inc., 1738 Northampton Rd, Akron, OH 44313, United States, support@snestico.ai (subject "DMCA notice").

A notice must include: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) the copyrighted work you say is infringed; (3) the material you say infringes and where it is on Snestico (a link is best); (4) your name, address, phone and email; (5) a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized by the owner, its agent or the law; and (6) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

Counter-notice: if your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, send a counter-notice with your signature, the removed material and where it was, a statement under penalty of perjury that it was removed by mistake or misidentification, your name, address and phone, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, outside the US, any district where Snestico may be found). We may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the complainant tells us they have filed a court action.

Repeat infringers: we disable the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe copyrights.

Privacy and Safety on Snestico

Privacy Commitment

Your privacy is fundamental to our service. Our collection, use, and protection of personal information is governed by our comprehensive Privacy Policy.

Safety Features

• Report any member, listing, post or message; our team reviews every report
• Block a member so they can't message or video call you
• Automated checks flag listings that look like scams

• Meeting in public places recommended
• Video calls before in-person meetings
• Trust your instincts
• Report suspicious behavior

Your Safety Responsibilities

You acknowledge that we are a platform, not a party to user interactions, you are responsible for your own safety, and we cannot guarantee the accuracy of user information.

You agree to follow our safety guidelines, verify information independently, report suspicious activity immediately, and use good judgment in all interactions.

Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity

Snestico supports the Fair Housing Act and state and local fair housing laws.

For landlords, agents and anyone posting a rental or home for sale:

• You may not refuse to rent or sell, set different terms, or advertise a preference, limit or discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity), national origin, familial status or disability, or any other trait protected where the home is (such as source of income, including housing vouchers, age, marital status or military status)
• Listings may not include wording like "adults only", "no Section 8" or "perfect for singles"; Snestico blocks wording like this and removes listings that break these rules
• You must make reasonable accommodations for renters with disabilities, including for assistance animals

Roommates

• People looking for a roommate to share their own home may state preferences that federal law allows for shared living (for example, the gender of a roommate). Snestico's roommate matching never uses race, color, religion, national origin or disability.

Neighborhood information

• Snestico doesn't rate neighborhoods as safe or unsafe or say who an area suits. For crime information, see the local police department's official crime map.

Report discrimination to support@snestico.ai , or to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development at hud.gov/fairhousing or 1-800-669-9777.

Marketplace Rules and Prohibited Items

The marketplace is for members to buy, sell and give away everyday items, mostly furniture and home goods. Snestico is not a party to any sale, doesn't hold or process payments and doesn't inspect items; buyer and seller arrange payment and pickup between themselves.

You may not list

• Weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives or their parts
• Drugs, drug paraphernalia, cannabis, alcohol, tobacco or vaping products
• Prescription or recalled items, including recalled cribs, car seats and children's products
• Animals
• Stolen goods, counterfeit or replica items
• Adult content or services
• Hazardous materials, including mattresses or upholstered items sold where they aren't allowed to be resold
• Rental listings, sublets or roommate ads (use Browse Homes and Roommates instead)
• Gift cards, money transfers, crypto, IDs, accounts or anything you don't own

Safe trading

• Meet in a public place, inspect items before paying, and never pay with gift cards or wire transfers to someone you haven't met
• Report a listing or member from the listing page; we remove listings that break these rules and may suspend the account

Payments

Free to find a home

Everything you need to find a home is free: AI home search, roommate matching, chat and video calls, Scam Check, neighborhood insights and one home-hunting agent. Paid options are extras you can choose to buy. Until payments open, "Buy" only saves your interest and nothing is charged.

Paid options (one-time purchases)

• Move Pass: 30 days of extra home-hunting agents, hourly checks, instant alerts and unlimited AI searches
• Verified badge: an ID check by our team, shown on your profile
• Landlord Pro: the AI leasing assistant and featured placement for one listing for 30 days (your first home is always free)

Payment Terms

1. Billing

• The price and what it includes are shown before you pay, and you confirm them
• Each purchase is charged once, in advance
• Nothing renews automatically; when a purchase ends you go back to the free plan
• Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe, PCI DSS compliant); Snestico appears on your statement

2. Price Changes

• We may change prices at any time
• A change never affects something you have already bought

3. Refund Policy

• You can ask for a full refund within 7 days of purchase if you haven't used the paid features: email support@snestico.ai
• Otherwise purchases are non-refundable once used, except where the law requires a refund
• A refund or a chargeback ends the access it paid for, straight away

4. Ending a Purchase

• There is nothing to cancel, because nothing renews
• Access lasts for the period shown when you bought it
• No refund for unused time, apart from the refunds above

5. Payment Processing

• Major credit and debit cards, and wallets the provider supports
• Card details are collected by the payment provider; we never see or store full card numbers
• Your purchases are listed in Dashboard → Your plan, and a confirmation is emailed

6. Taxes

• Prices are in US dollars. Where sales tax applies, it is calculated at checkout and shown before you pay

7. Disputes

• Contact support for billing disputes: support@snestico.ai
• We'll investigate and respond within 5 business days

8. Marketplace Transactions

• Peer-to-peer transactions between users
• Snestico not party to marketplace sales
• Disputes resolved between buyer and seller

Termination and Suspension

Your Right to Terminate

You may terminate your account at any time by using Account Settings or emailing support@snestico.ai .

Effect of Your Termination

• Access to services immediately ceases
• No refund for unused time on a purchase (see Payments)
• Your account and content are deleted straight away; the Privacy Policy lists the few records we keep

Our Right to Terminate or Suspend

We may immediately terminate or suspend your account if you:

• Breach our Privacy Policy or other policies
• Engage in prohibited conduct

2. Illegal Activity

• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Commit illegal acts using our platform
• Violate laws or regulations

3. Safety Concerns

• Pose safety risk to other users
• Threaten or harass users
• Engage in violent or dangerous behavior

4. Verification Failures

• Provide false information during verification
• Fail to complete required verification
• Use fraudulent identity documents

5. Payment Issues

• Payment fraud or chargebacks
• Unpaid fees or obligations

Suspension Procedures

Temporary Suspension

• Account access restricted pending investigation
• Duration based on violation severity
• Notice provided when possible

Permanent Termination

• Immediate and complete account closure
• No access to platform or content
• May include IP and device bans

Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

No Guarantees

We do not guarantee service availability at all times, error-free or secure operation, accurate content, successful matches, or freedom from viruses.

User Interactions

We are not responsible for interactions between users, meetings or in-person encounters, property viewings or transactions, roommate arrangements, marketplace transactions, user conduct, or disputes between users.

Third-Party Content

• Property data from ATTOM and partners
• User-generated content and listings
• External links and websites

AI and Algorithms

• AI recommendations are not guaranteed
• Compatibility scores are estimates
• Human judgment still required

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW

Exclusion of Damages

SNESTICO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of profits, loss of data, personal injury, or punitive damages.

Liability Cap

Our total liability to you for all claims shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100 USD.

User Responsibility

You acknowledge that you use our service at your own risk, you are responsible for your own safety, and you should verify all information independently.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Snestico from any claims, losses, damages, and expenses arising from your use of our service, violation of these terms, or your content and interactions.

Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Informal Resolution

Before filing any legal claim, you agree to first contact us to attempt to resolve the dispute informally:

Binding Arbitration

Agreement to Arbitrate

You and Snestico agree to resolve any disputes through binding arbitration instead of court proceedings, except for small claims court actions, injunctive relief requests, intellectual property disputes, and terms enforcement actions.

• One arbitrator selected per AAA procedures
• Federal Arbitration Act (FAA) governs

Class Action Waiver

YOU AND SNESTICO AGREE: No class arbitrations or class actions, no representative actions, individual claims only, no consolidation of claims.

Governing Law and Venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, and federal laws of the United States.

2. Venue

For non-arbitrable disputes: Exclusive jurisdiction in State and Federal courts in Ohio.

3. International Users

• Additional local laws may apply
• EU users retain GDPR rights
• Consumer protection laws honored

Opt-Out

• You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of accepting terms

Additional Legal Terms

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to minimum extent necessary, and remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Snestico and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

Assignment

Your Rights: You may not assign or transfer these terms without our written consent.

Our Rights: We may assign these terms to any affiliate or successor.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision doesn't waive that right. Waiver must be in writing and signed.

Force Majeure

We're not liable for delays or failures caused by acts of God, government actions, war, terrorism, labor disputes, internet failures, pandemics, or other events beyond reasonable control.

Export Compliance

You agree to comply with all export laws and regulations including U.S. Export Administration Regulations and International Traffic in Arms Regulations.

Government Users

If you're a U.S. government entity, our service is "Commercial Item" per FAR 2.101 and subject to restricted rights.

Electronic Communications

You consent to receive communications electronically via email and notifications on our platform.

Language

These terms are written in English. English version controls in case of conflict.

Survival

The following provisions survive termination: payment obligations, intellectual property licenses, disclaimers and limitations of liability, indemnification obligations, and dispute resolution provisions.
